We wish to thank you for your purchase of a quality sleep system. We have worked hard to provide you a high quality bedding system. Please review this information - if you follow the suggested procedures for the care of your mattress and foundation you will receive many years of comfort and service.
Your Clinton Bedding mattress has been constructed with the finest resilient upholstery materials to give you the utmost in comfort and support. It is designed to conform to your individual contour. Sleeping in one location may result in body impressions - this is not a strcutrual defect, but merely the localized compacting of the upholstery.
TO MINIMIZE BODY IMPRESSIONS, rotate and turn your mattress once a month for the first three months, and once every six months thereafter (see chart below). When turning a mattress, lift by grasping the edges. Handles (when provided on select models) are designed to aid in the positioning of the mattress, not to bear the full weight of the mattress.
SUPPORT YOUR NEW MATTRESS SET WITH A STURDY BED FRAME. All sleep sets over 54 inches wide, (or under 54 inches wide and bearing excessive weight) must have an additional appropriate center support. For queen or king sets, make sure your frame has the required center support to prevent bowing or breakage.
USE A PROTECTIVE MATTRESS PAD. A quality, washable mattress pad and/or soil shield is highly recommended. It will keep your bedding protected - clean and free from stains, insuring the integrity of your warranty.
VACUUMING THE SURFACE IS RECOMMENDED. Water, cleaning fluids, spot removers and/or dry cleaning chemicals may be harmful and can permanently damage the underlying upholstery. Vacuuming the surface is the only recommended methos of cleaning. If your are determined to tackle a stain, use only mild soap and a damp sponge, do not soak the mattress.
USE A PROPER FOUNDATION. If you did not purchase a matched mattress/foundation det, be sure that the foundation you use is new and of comparable quality and size. Failure to use a proper foundation results in abuse of the mattress and may lead to unsatisfactory performance and damage, and may invalidate the warranty. Also, it is never a good solution to put a board between the mattress and foundation. I may enhance the sense of support for a while, but it will only make the problem worse over time. If any bed in your home has reached this stage, it is considered worn out and should be replace.
USE CARE MOVING YOUR INNERSPRING SET. The top quality innerspring unit inside your mattress has a series of connected coils and border wire. Bending or folding this type of unit can cause damage (This does not apply to a mattress or foundationthat is made of entirely solf material (such as foam or cotton), or one that is designed to fold).
TREAT YOUR NEW MATTRESS SET WITH RESPECT - it's a bed, not a trampoline. Your new sleep set is not designed for children to use as a trampoline. This type of rough-housing can damage the interior construction and is not considered a manufacturer's defect.
